Pamela Carey, LPCC-S, CCTP, I

Executive Director, Forensic Interviewer

Pamela Carey has a Masters in Education with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson School of Professional Counseling. Ms. Carey is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She is a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals. In May 2024, Pamela was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel.

Jonah Gooch, J.D.

Assistant Director, Case Review Specialist

Jonah Gooch is a graduate of Alice Lloyd College where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in History and Pre-Law. He then continued to receive his Juris Doctorate Degree from the Lincoln Memorial University - Duncan School of Law. Prior to joining the KRCAC Staff, Jonah was employed at a private law firm, primarily focusing on Juvenile and Domestic Law, and also received experience in the prosecution of Felony Criminal Prosecutions while working as an Extern with the local Commonwealth Attorney's Office.

Jeffrey Combs, LPCC-S

Forensic Interviewer

Jeffrey Combs has also received his Masters in Educations with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson School of Professional Counseling and has been an adjunct professor for his alma mater since 2018 in the undergraduate program. He is also a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor trained in the National Child Advocacy Center Model, as well as being trained in extended forensic interviewing, interviewing nonverbal children, and interviewing children on the autism spectrum. Jeffrey's history includes providing outpatient trauma therapy and providing therapy to children in foster care.

Dr. Robin Whitaker, D.O.

Physician

Dr. Robin Whitaker attended Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine receiving her Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 2002. She then fulfilled a Family Medicine Residency at East Tennessee State University and followed with an Obstetrics Fellowship at Memorial Family Practice Residency Program in South Bend, IN. Dr. Whitaker returned to Eastern Kentucky in 2006 where she practices in a full scope family practice, Dr. Whitaker has a passion for Obstetrics, Women’s Health and Pediatrics. As an employee at Quantum Healthcare in Hazard, Ky, Dr. Whitaker provides clinical as well as Obstetrics services. Dr. Whitaker believes it is an honor to be able to serve in the area where she was born and raised.

Victoria Halcomb, BASW

MDT Coordinator, Community Engagement

Victoria Halcomb is a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Social Work, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. Victoria has had practicum experience in the field with the Department of Community Based Services. She is also an authorized Darkness2Light facilitator

Kaleena Cornett, BCJ

Victim Advocate

Kaleena Cornett is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, located at the University Center of the Mountains, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She has practicum experience as a case manager and has worked within the community for many years.
